Spiritual and moral aspects of education

There is a Sunday school for Kolomna children in the convent, where they get acquainted with God’s Law, sing in children's choir, study hagiography, visit holy places during vacations. Christmas fur-tree celebrations are especially joyful. More than 1000 children from Kolomna and the Kolomna district come here on those days. Sisters specially stage musical Christmas performance for children; the Sunday school makes its own staging. A famous composer and author of children's songs Grigory Gladkov has been traditionally participating in these celebrations for several years. The feast invariably finishes with horses-driving and riding a camel.

The convent was one of the first to perform social service. In 1995 a boarding school for residing, training and education of fatherless children and children that stay without care of parents was established by the convent. Training and education of children is carried out by sisters. Now more than 50 pupils live and are trained there.

Since 2002, with a blessing of the Most Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II and Metropolitan of Krutitsy and Kolomna Yuvenaly sisters have been taking care of the Boarding School named after St. Sergius of Radonezh at the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius Lavra.
