The first divine
service in the renascent
convent was conducted in the Holy
Trinity church on a feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary on
February 15, 1989. Since then that church became a symbol of spiritual revival
in Kolomna.
The
Holy Trinity church also changed its appearance
gradually:
-
In 1999 refectory part was
painted,
-
In 2003 floors were laid out
by mosaic,
-
In 2004 the new iconostas
with hand-written icons was established.
The
church was built in the Russian Baroque style in the late XVIIth century. This
is the only example of that style in Kolomna.
